Introducing a unique proposal from Mrs. R

Initially she wanted this building to be a designated workplace to accommodate her duties as a professional chef.

Along the way, her notion of having a private kitchen evolved.

She concluded that having a compact house where all her daily activities are worked is just what she needs, thus obscuring the boundaries between her private life and her job.

Stainless steel and wood as the primary interior material are often repeated to create the continuity.

The building itself used 2 units of shipping containers that have been transformed into a 72-squaremeter brick-and-mortar house with an open-plan.

All with the intention of maximizing the sense of industrial feel which represents the identity of Mrs R herself.

We sometimes carry few things that we dreamt of when we were young and so does she.

Inspired by it, we discussed about the architecture. She showed us her childhood drawings that depict a simple house. A great shady tree and chickens playing around the yard.

Thus, her dream became reality.
